Because of the one-sidedness of the fight rumors circulated after the bout that Graham's opponent had been an imposter. Research by the Utica Observer-Dispatch, however, found that he was the 'real' Milton Cohen.

The Toronto Star and The Globe & Mail scored the fight for Graham. "The decision is neither here nor there, Graham won it, and the crowd knew it, and they bawled their disapproval in no uncertain tones." - Toronto Star. "Graham is the most unorthodox boxer to be seen in a Toronto ring in years. His hands dangle loosely at his sides, and he does very little covering, preferring to block and depends on his speed for protection." - Globe & Mail

(New York Times)(Chicago Tribune) Graham was floored in round one for "seven," then went down for "nine." He should have been disqualified, but the referee let it continue. Graham came back and made it a good fight, even dropping Taylor for "no count" in round nine. The Tribune scored it four rounds for Taylor, two for Graham, and four even.

The day-after North Adams Transcript lists Graham's opponent as Mickey Garcia of New York, which is probably en error since Graham himself was also known as Mickey Garcia.

This bout was a decision win for Modzy per Rochester Herald. According to the Utica Daily Press, the bout was fairly even until the fifth round when Modzy socked a blow that created a cut over Graham's eye, causing it to bleed profusely. Garcia claimed he was butted but the referee would not allow it. The sixth round was rather farcical as Graham was cautious about his eye and slowed down considerably. This round went a long way in deciding the bout in Modzy's favor.

New bout for Bushy Graham. "An accident cut short a promising bout between Frankie Brown and Bushy Graham, both of this city (Utica), early in the first round when Graham had his face opened just above the eye by one of Brown's jabs." Syracuse Journal
