The Norwalk Hour reported Arce as 'George Smith', whose real name was Humberto Arce - champion of Puerto Rico. While this may have been an alias used by Arce, it it also possible that he was a late replacement for George Smith of New Jersey.

Newspaper win for Greb (World News). The Newark Star Eagle and Newark Evening News both tabbed Greb the winner. The Pittsburgh Post said that Bogash won the 8th, 10th, and 12th rounds, the 3rd and 9th were even, and Greb won the others. Greb fought extremely well. Bogash relied mainly on a body attack and was rugged but Greb was too busy for him.
New York Times states this is a win for Bogash as he won rounds 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 12. Greb won 1, 2, 7, and 9. The 4th was even. Out-of-town newspapers disagreed as to the winner. The Philadelphia Record had Greb winning.

Boston Globe. Bogash substituted for Jock Malone, who "ran out of the match." The Boston Herald stated that "Mickey fought nothing like a wonder fighter against Bogash. If the contest had been a week ago matters might have been different. Walker was ready a week ago and the extra time and the disappointment of not having Malone for his opponent plainly threw him off his fighting stride.
