KO8/10
Coliseum, Chicago, Illinois, USA
Aron rallied from three knockdowns early in the bout, including being out on his back to end the 2nd round, to knockdown Zivic twice in the 8th round. Bob Soderman was there and wrote: "What a main event this was! One of the most thrilling fights I was privileged to witness." Zivic won the first round. Aron was down three times in round two, and was trying to recover in the third. Milt got going in round four and shook Fritzie up. Round five had a slacker pace and neither man had a clear edge. In the sixth both men received badly cut lips and Zivic was back in control. Aron put Zivic down early in the seventh, but Fritzie got up and gave Milt a really bad beating for the rest of the round, although getting back plenty in return. "Zivic continued his onslaught in round eight, and a right to Aron's nose brought immediate swelling of amazing proportion..Fritzie moved in, (and) Milt uncorked a terrific right that caught Zivic coming in and landed square on his chin. Down went Fritzie and this time it began to look like curtains." Indeed, it proved to be so.
