From the New Orleans Times-Picayune (Jack Kincaid). Marshall's opponent was referred to as "Harry Alexander," who also fought in New Orleans on September 28, 1939. Rudy Marshall was an experienced and well-regarded middleweight, and it seems hardly likely that he would have been beaten by a novice. Possibly Alexander fought Tiger Harry Marshall instead.
