Mutual Street Arena, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
"After piling up a huge margin on points in five rounds the Spider suddenly caught up with a solid right to the heart in the sixth and when the same right on the return trip caught him square on the button, down he went for a short count. But instead of staying down for nine as is the usual custom, he half got up, only to go down again on advice from his corner. This is strictly against the rules of pugilistiana and he was so told by Referee Herschel Osborne, who ordered him up. So he got up and started milling with Pace, but at this stage the ring became overcrowded mostly through the appearance therein of Tom Stanley, Pace's manager, who hollered for a disqualification in loud and urgent tones. He asked for it and he got it. Only Pace was disqualified and not Armstrong." - Toronto Star
