Haymon is using Khan to divert Brook away from Spence
Typical Haymon procedure - he wants Spence to be a big star and does not want to risk Spence to face Brook so he's manipulated Khan to suddenly show a desire to face Brook who he has ducked and dodged for years - Khan knows he's just a pawn and is willingly taking orders from his puppetmaster al haymon - Brook vs Spence is a fascinating match up but it's too risky for Haymon and his protected puppet Spence -
Re: Haymon is using Khan to divert Brook away from Spence
Brook v Khan is miles bigger than Brook v Spence.

Sometimes, we have to separate a "top opponent" from a "sellable opponent" Spence, as top notch as he may be, won't sell tickets. Brook vs Khan sells out UK stadiums and and is PPV worthy. Brook vs Spence isn't.

What’s the difference between the thread you’ve just created and the one you spammed the forum with this time last week (see below hyperlink)?montrealsuper wrote:"Haymon is using Khan to divert Brook away from Spence"

Do you need to persistently and regularly spam the forum with the same old nonsense week-in, week-out?montrealsuper wrote:"Haymon found a way to save Spence from Brook"
This has Haymon fingerprints all over it - He did not want to risk his future cash cow hope Spence vs Brook so he wangled Khan to finally step up to finally face Brook (Khan has no other options and he's ready to be sacrificed) - So now Brook vacates the IBF belt and Haymon wangles Spence to fight the young Aussie Horn for the vacated belt - Horn is unproven and will likely be cannonfodder for Spence but knowing Haymon he will probably give the Aussie kid (who hasn't earned any $ yet in boxing) a bonus to play soft with Spence (in other words: throw the fight) - Horn will take the $ and will most likely get a future favor (title shot) from Haymon vs someone like Garcia or Thurman - so easy to see Haymons fingerprints all over this if you know how Haymon operates and what his master plans are and who his crown jewel hopes are: "Al haymon can manipulate anything - what al haymon wants al haymon gets" - paul malignaggi quote BEFORE he sold his soul and signed with haymon

Yes it's big but it's curious how now finally all the sudden Khan is no longer in duck mode regarding Brook - dont lose sight of the truth that haymon is puppetmastering Khan to protect Spence from Brook - Khan vs Brook is a big fight but it's being used to cheat us out of a better natural progression prime vs prime matchup - Khan is a fading former star -
Re: Haymon is using Khan to divert Brook away from Spence
Khan has spent years trying to get a fight with Mayweather. It's understandable: Floyd brings more money, he's fought Maidana a couple of times who Khan had beaten and suchlike. Now that he's gone the time seems right for him to fight Brook.montrealsuper wrote:Yes it's big but it's curious how now finally all the sudden Khan is no longer in duck mode regarding Brook - dont lose sight of the truth that haymon is puppetmastering Khan to protect Spence from Brook - Khan vs Brook is a big fight but it's being used to cheat us out of a better natural progression prime vs prime matchup - Khan is a fading former star -
And in fairness, it wasn't just Floyd. Khan was after big money fights and to be fair, in the shape of Canelo, he got one.
Not saying it's exactly the same, but Khan has historically been a bigger name than Brook in the same way Hatton was bigger than Witter and whilst fights between them always made sense, nobody can really begrudge a professional prizefighter going after the bigger prize. In Khan's case that has happened, post-Golovkin Brook's name is bigger than ever; it's a stadium fight.

You were provided feedback on this topic on the thread you created last week that covered the same subject matter. Did you not read the comments posted to your own thread? If not, why should anyone bother to respond to this one?montrealsuper wrote:Yes it's big but it's curious how now finally all the sudden Khan is no longer in duck mode regarding Brook - dont lose sight of the truth that haymon is puppetmastering Khan to protect Spence from Brook - Khan vs Brook is a big fight but it's being used to cheat us out of a better natural progression prime vs prime matchup - Khan is a fading former star -

Khan didn't get to fight Floyd because he refused to throw the fightdirk2686 wrote:Khan has spent years trying to get a fight with Mayweather. Khan failed to get Floyd so he was deperate for a $$day vs Canelo which was basically a self sacrifice -

It's disappointing that so many boxing fans cant see what haymon is doing to boxing and how if he destroy the sport if he continues on his path/agenda - perhaps its destiny that boxing self destructs into a pro wrestling farce -

A lot of Boxing fans can't stand Al Haymon and have been extremely critical of him.montrealsuper wrote:It's disappointing that so many boxing fans cant see what haymon is doing to boxing and how if he destroy the sport if he continues on his path/agenda - perhaps its destiny that boxing self destructs into a pro wrestling farce -
I don't think he has much of anything to do with Khan vs Brook. If Brook fights Khan over Spence it's because there's more money in fighting Khan. It's no more complicated than that really.
Plus with both of them having fought above Welterweight in their last bouts Khan would probably be more agreeable to fight at 154 or a 150 pound catchweight or something which I'm sure Brook would prefer. I don't expect Brook to return to Welterweight to be honest.

Do you mention 180 pound canelo here? Pls be objective , when you write something. With the same success khan could be given a fighter from cruiserweight to "make 'big' money". Canelo (running from ggg) is a typical shame story - just one of the many disgraceful boxing pages created by oscars and haymons. Such haymons certainly ruin the modern boxing, lowering its prestige to zero. Haymons is unconscious promoter of UFC over boxing.dirk2686 wrote:Khan has spent years trying to get a fight with Mayweather.montrealsuper wrote: -

i personally hope brook vacates to face khan.
A Brook vs Spence fight makes all the sense in the world for Spence. It will make Brook look foolish if he doesn't fight Spence. Risky fight for Brook, but not Spence. I see it as a 60/40 fight in favor of Spence. Brook is good, but his holding tactics won't work with Spence. He knows how to fight out of a clinch, and his body work is second to none at welterweight. He also has the size and strength to match Brook, which Brook isn't used to when fighting welterweights.

Foreman vs Lyle didn't make sense to either of those two either but it made sense for the fans and TV and so they just got the F in there and did it - Haymon and Spence want it as safe and easy as possible -just imagine if Haymon was running boxing in the 70s and 80s and how many great fights the mfer would have blocked in order to protect his crown jewels -mistersaintlaurent wrote:BROOK vs SPENCE doesn't really make sense for brook *or* for spence.
