Sorry to burst the bubble... I watched video.... Ralph finds Rosenbloom vs. Levinsky fight listed in paper and puts TV on. All you get is the crowd noise which was probably a "canned" arena crowd mumble (no actual words were said.) Norton does listen to the Captain Video soundtrack though, but I dont even know if that is real.

The Rosenbloom vrs King Levinsky fight took place at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles California ,so there is a good chance it was filmed.Like Joe Louis vrs Lee Ramage II,
(Wrigley Field)which someone here had mentioned in another thread didnt turn up until the late 1960's.

Captain Video(1949-1955) and the Honeymooners (the real early skits anyway on the Cavalcade of Stars show)ran on the same television netwok(DuMont)

The Honeymooners episodes after 1952 were filmed at DuMont studios but aired for CBS.

Oh well,It was a lead that needed to be followed up on anyway to figure out.
BTW Did you see the 1951 Columbia Short subject THE CHAMPS STEP OUT,
in the Maxie Rosenbloom thread?
He shadow boxes a little in it,but I think he is exaggerating a style
for the character.

I didnt see that particular short, but I do remember seeing others "shadow" for a camera. It was awhile ago. It might have been Dempsey.

The 16 minute Columbia short film THE CHAMPS STEP OUT(1951),
was one of five that Rosenbloom did together with Max Baer.
There is a link to it on youtube in the Are there any fight films of Maxie Rosenbloom? thread.
I will bump it up.

Here it is for you again Boxbuzz.
But to further confuse things, since the older link in this thread to that particular episodeof THE HONEYMOONERS has since been removed ,
I have decided to post the newer link to it in the "Bensonhurst Bomber" Jackie Gleason thread where you all can watch it again and see/hear it for yourselves.
