Did Karl Dargan enter the Golden Gloves? Did he qualify for the regional U.S. Champtionships team?

If Dargan did, he didn't win either. However, Dargan won the Pan Am Box-offs and is qualified for the Pan Am Games. Therefore, he will get an At-Large bid for the US Championships. Dargan has been nursing an injury so I wouldn't be surprised if he had not entered the Golden Gloves or the LBC/Regional tourneys.

The National Golden Gloves rosters for all franchises is available at:
http://www.usaboxing.org/92_1793.htm.

There are a few boxers who were not the winners of their respective Golden Gloves tournaments, but they were selected to represent their franchises.

It is pretty amazing that there are 10 franchises that have full 11 man rosters. There are 9 franchises that have 10 boxers and another 8 franchises that have 9 boxers. Only Iowa (8), Detroit (8) and Hawaii (6) have less than 9 boxers on their rosters. It will be a very interesting National Tournament of Champions!
