Prizefighter Lww. Who wins and any odds?
Re: Prizefighter Lww. Who wins and any odds?
I've sparred with a lot of decent amateurs and pros over the years and Adil is one of the most naturally gifted kids i've been in with. He was a very, very good amateur.
Haven't seen all the others but i'd think he'd be too physically strong for Tyrone, too sharp for Mutley and Lloyd and far too slick for Miles.
Then again, don't know how he'd fare in 3 tough fights, depends on his conditioning.
Best prizefighter in a while though, looking forward to it

Does anyone know anything about the venue? Civic hall..

This is one of the most even PF ever, realisticly all of them have decent chance of winning this. To me Lloyd and Harrison won't get a shot though don't think they are upto the standard of some of the others. Miles has serious power, but have a feeling he could get outboxed here. Morrison is a talented boxer, but only been out once in two years so that will show if he gets far in it, Mutley isn't the fighter he once was but he will undoubtably come in terrific shape for this so stamina isn't an issue, Watson has been through the runner in his last two fight but won't be scared of anyone and I think he could bully his way far in the tournament, Anwar is a very skilled boxer and probably the most naturally talented in the tournament however he hasn't been in with this level of opponent before so there is a chance he could be stuck for ideas and go out early, Nurse doesn't have great power however that is improving as he grows into his body and he hits harder than his record suggests although he also hasn't mixed in this kind of company before.
Overall im going for Nurse he's a tidy boxer and I think he can avoid taking too much punishment in early fights which will benfit him once he gets to the final

I pick Watson to win. Think he'll be a bit more robust over the shorter distance. He handled Ben Murphy over 6 rounds, so I've no doubts that he can cope with the rough stuff. He was an excellent amateur with good feet and good ring-craft so is suited for this type of competition. Now he's moved back up to his natural weight of light-welter he'll be a lot stronger.

Excited for this.
Would love to see Harrison (hometown lad) win it, or if not Mutley or Lloyd (both local ish) but think i'm gonna go with Miles/Watson.
Be interesting if Mutley draws to fight Harrison, Mutley a big west brom fan, Harrison a big Wolves fan, and its the black country derby the day after.
Anyone going to this off here? I'll show you the sights and sounds of Wolverhampton haha.

Should be bouncing mate, the local lads Mutley (West Brom), Harrison (Wolves), Lloyd (Telford) have all got decent followings and I know theres good followings from some of the others on the bill, John Watson etc. Should be a cracking atmosphere.idle talk wrote:I just meant the atmosphere Saturday kid, surly it'll be bouncing hacan't wait
2 "prizefighter prospects" on the bill too, local prospects Tommy Ghent and Ryan Aston both in very decent tests for this stage of their careers (and both also local derby's) against Joel Ryan and Kieron Gray.

He can pace himself though and won't go all guns blazing like othersCounter-puncher wrote:Camcas wrote: Mutley isn't the fighter he once was but he will undoubtably come in terrific shape for this so stamina isn't an issue,

he paced himself in the last P/F he was in and he was still blowing after 2 rounds. LWW is too light for him iMO
