Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
All makes sense now.
Cost himself a fortune no doubt. Would've made 5-6 mill off Klit fight and 10 mill off AJ you can bet. He'll be stripped by tonight, no way he keeps the titles and banned for 12 months+.
He can rebuild but he'll probably be 30 stone after a long lay off.

I find it incredible that we are talking about an undisputed unbeaten champ rebuilding ! What a sad waste of a career.ScottDetonator wrote:All makes sense now.

Saw a old photo of him on his facebook I think. He looked like he'd been directly connected to the mains.Would of put my house on him being on something.Someone made reference to this,& he deleted the comment.Without wishing to dig,it's hardly surprising considering his trainer is a convicted amphetamine dealer.

Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
Are some posters seriously suggesting he shouldn't be banned, just because it's not a PED?
It's a Class A drug. He's not just broken boxing rules, he's broken the law.
The length of the ban obviously depends on precedent but he should be banned and he should be stripped of the titles.

Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
will all this effect the Klit rematch?
In all seriousness he's not the first or will be the last. Serve a ban and come back, but I think its the last time we've seen Tyson in a boxing ring.
Drugs! They ruin families and ultimately ruin your life.
Say no to drugs!

Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
Pretty obvious he was on either coke or similar in some of his vids, but is this test from the fight, or a random one between fights ?
I believe he has depression, probably why he takes the coke, and it will make it 10 times worse.

He was tested again and tested positive for cocaine.
Are you somehow suggesting that he should not have been tested? - if so, why not? - it looks as though they were right to test him because he has failed !

All those mentioned had crossover appeal and were "housewives favourites"mickey1975 wrote:Dettori hasn't. Still hugely popular.Stevieb8006 wrote:To be fair they had long retiredmickey1975 wrote:Let's hope he gets the same compassion Detorri, Gazza, Merson, Bruno, Hatton etc got....
Maybe not Merson, but I don't recall him ever being a ranting racist, sexist, homophobic anti-Semite surrounded by violent psychopaths threatening anybody who didn't agree with them - maybe that will be a factor?

Gazza has done a list as long as your arm. He's offended whole countries. Got done last week for racism!bripez wrote:All those mentioned had crossover appeal and were "housewives favourites"mickey1975 wrote:Dettori hasn't. Still hugely popular.Stevieb8006 wrote: To be fair they had long retired

Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
Gazza was the nations sweetheart 20 years ago - a lot of the stuff he did was harmless schoolboy japes.
People could then see his real vulnerabilities and still championed the underdog, they were already emotionally invested by the time he did more serious stuff.
The general public do not see Fury as being vulnerable in the same way - if you genuinely cannot see this and genuinely do not understand why this is then there isn't much more I can say.
It is easy to give the old "everybody hates gyppos who are really lovely people" routine and ignoring all other factors.

Does that also invalidate his lineal championship thingy? I mean he is still the one who beat the man?Stuarty30 wrote: Course he should be banned man! Wtf! It's coke! I'm a fan of Tyson and I've also been known to partake in a bit of powder from time to time but if he's caught then of course he should be banned!
Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
Officially probably yeah but the real fans still know who the main man is. It's hard to get excited tonight after the awful news about Mikey Towell. As a died in the wool boxing fan I'm gutted for his family.Tarkus wrote:Does that also invalidate his lineal championship thingy? Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
Not surprised in the slightest, cocaine is massively good fun and Tyson likes a party. In days of old, fighters who imbibed had it out of their system by the time the post fight piss test was taken.
He will be stripped and rightly so. Unless he has an addiction, then he doesn't deserve any sympathy what so ever.
His mental health problems are a more serious issue and I hope he gets the kind of treatment he needs.
He should be apologizing to David Haye for all the bollocks he talked about Haye's cancellations.
When Tyson gets himself together and makes a comeback, he can use the old 'I never lost my title in the ring'.
It's going to be a rough time for him, but I wish him the best.
Maybe in the next week or so, the rest of the story may come out now. I'm sworn to secrecy, so it ain't coming fom me.

Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
Is Tyson an addict then? What are the chances of him booking into rehab? Pretty slim I'd saymickey1975 wrote:I agree with the second paragraph and think it applies to Tyson word for word.bripez wrote:Gazza was the nations sweetheart 20 years ago - a lot of the stuff he did was harmless schoolboy japes.

As said above, all those people mentioned were liked by the public.
Re: Tyson Fury failed drug test allegedly Cocaine
I could not care if he snorted all the coke in England whilst wearing Oskars tights and singing one of his naff songs, but there's a time and place fo everything. He should steer wellclear of any banned substances in the run up to a title fight, or any fight for that matter. Pure stupidity on his behalf, he has let a lot of people down here, he should be stripped immediately, no excuses.Boxerbeetle wrote:As long as it's not a PED failure, I don't care what he takes tbh.
Like others have noed, i've also had enough of this. He can either get his act together pronto, or eff off and let the sport get on without hi, and his moaning family.
