Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
Surely this fight has to happen at the Echo Arena early next year. Not only that surely Fielding will be named Pauls next mandatory as well.
How do we see this one going ?

Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
Paul has the experience and power but Rocky lately has made me have to think this would be alot closer than what i first thought. Rocky is also developing power.
I say Fielding against Dodson would be a good pointer if Fielding deals with Tony then would make for a good fight.

March, echo arena.
Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
Head says a very close fight, possibly Smig to edge it. Heart says Rockyyy.
Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
I really want to see this fight!
Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
Rocky is a big lad decent boxing skills & it's a close call. But yet again he seems petrified!!! They don't or won't mention smiths name !!
Callum is a backward step & Paul a side step!!! Paul smith has already stated this.
Maybe rocky don't want the cock title?

Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
Like others going off the voting I think this is a very winnable fight for Rocky. Rocky reminds me a bit of David Price he's become overly reliant on power and I think could get exposed bad at some point .... only time will tell.
He never gone past 6 rounds so he could do with someone to take him to the championship rounds at this stage (I thought Blackledge would have done this TBH)

When Kugan askes him about the British title 5:40 in he swerves it again talking about international guys. Seems really strange to me when you have won Prizefighter and English title surely you must be keen to get the British title especially when the very beatable champion is from your City. He should have said something along the lines of ' Yeah me and Smith is a big fight for Liverpool and I want to be British Champion ...lets ave it .'

Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
I,d fancy Fielding getting the stoppage over Smith,Smiths getting on a bit,has a few miles on the clock and isnt exactly the most active fighter,i reckon Rocky would be getting him at the right time
It would be great while it lasted though i bet,Paul,s rarely in a dull fight and would be all guns blazing
Fielding by the halfway mark
Not the most comfortable in front of the camaras though is Fielding post fight

Smith isnt that old! Haha. I agree regarding the miles on the clock though. I'd fancy Fielding either way to be honest, handsofstone wrote:I,d fancy Fielding getting the stoppage over Smith,Smiths getting on a bit,has a few miles on the clock and isnt exactly the most active fighter,i reckon Rocky would be getting him at the right time

His shots are just delivered with great timing and accuracy I wouldn't say he is going for big shots, he just don't waste many

Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
The Smith fight would be a good one, but maybe Rocky's people want him to get a few rounds in first, he's been taking guys out early.
Re: Paul Smith v Rocky Fielding
Cant get my head around Fielding one side of me thinks he is pretty poor and at times seemed to struggle and not show anything special. Recently however he has shown a bit of power and you cant deny he is dispatching opponents. If Blackledge was ready to fight for the title against Smith I dont see why Fielding isnt ready after blowing him out in a round.
Lack of talk may be to do with the fact they both fought in the same amateur setup?
I think its the natural fight to make. If Paul loses you have a natural revenge angle with Callum.
