Pleased Ovill has another big fight to look forward to :TU: Should be a good fight. Huck to win by late KO but I'll be rooting for McKenzie.

Craig Kennedy was posting he was fighting Ovill next; I assume Ovill will have to vacate the British now yes.

Who doesn't Huck try to avenge either of his two KO defeats?

You make it sound like its the norm for KO'd fighters to try to turn the result round in a rematch, I really don't think it is.

Well we know that it isn't.

A shame the most ambitious thing he did was try to equal Johnny Nelson's record number of title defendes - getting knocked out in that fight.

It'd be nice to see him try to avenge Glowacki - whom he did hurt badly - to win back his old title. I'd say that's reasonable.

Huck tied Nelson's defense record, but fell short trying to pass it. Incidentally, I had to laugh when someone on another forum argued that Huck is in no way as credible as Nelson was, as if Johnny beat a star-studden lineup, didn't defend against several mediocre challengers, and never benefitted from questionable scoring (see Jones).

Povetkin, Cunningham, Lebedev, Glowacki, Afolabi, Arslan, and Ramirez makes for a solid level of opposition, and though Huck didn't always win and was fortunate to beat Lebedev, he hasn't been out of his depth against anyone.

Yeah when Nelson was fighting most of us watching live were getting really anxious waiting for him to throw some punches. On a fight by fight basis. After Thompson he didn't face too many good ones, Sellers and Dominguez excepted. And Guillermo Jones, but that doesn't exactly count, given Jones coming from 154 hadn't really grown into190 pounds yet, s d with the weird scoring then the Panamanian testing positive for PEDs.

Huck had some good fights, especially the second Afolabi and the two with Arslan. The KO defeat to Glowacki for me was the fight of the year. Shame he and Hernandez didn't fight, as they both made for good fights consistently. They had their separate little rivalries in fun careers. Huck got the benefit of the doubt a few times, having many desperately close fights but ever losing a decision in Germany. Huck talks about doing something big, fighting in UFC, but I'd really like him to choose a more ambitious fight in his own sport,

Love Ovill to bits. I rate him higher than most and give him a chance against most.

Styles make fights and I think Huck is all wrong for Ovill and I see Huck stopping him.

Hopefully I'm wrong and the Glowacki fight has stayed with him but I think Hucks got another run left in him and shades Ovill in most departments.

This is a fun fight this,im actually a bit surprised its only happening for the 1st time now,i thought McKenzie pipped Ramirez for the title last time out but it was close and i wouldnt call it a robbery, hopefully it didnt leave him too disheartened and fills him with confidence knowing he belong at this level, its the inactivity which bothers me most,in saying that Ovill is always in tremendous shape

Its hard to gauge what Huck has left,he beat Afolabi worse last time than any of their other previous 3 fights although i think that was more to do with Ola looking a bit shot and the eye injury was real bad which hindered his sight,Marco was doing well until he got tagged from Glowacki and stopped, his careers littered with sub par performances then an improvement next time

Its a tough fight to pick i give McKenzie a great chance of winning even away from home but Huck's had his fair share of generous judging over the years and coz i think this will be close i reckon Marco will probably get the nod,Huck does have a tendency to get tagged though and if Ovill nails him i fancy him to finish him off

Another fun Cruiser fight though :box:

Hopefully it's just an inner ear issue and nothing more serious from being punched in the head for a living. It's probably the former I reckon.

Lazy journalism there. It states he's fought Ramirez to a controversial draw then states he's not fought since losing to Ramirez

This one's off? Ahh that sucks. Probably doesn't get rescheduled either. Huck has a lot of options so he likely just moves on.
