Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there was as good an all British fight again until Watson v Benn.

Superb little battle,my dad made me watch this with him when were pissed a few months ago,id been meaning to watch it for years,both guys down,hurt etc and see saw action,whats not to like,thought the ref was a bit quick with his counts,especially the onè that finished Christie off,Kaylor showed a lot of grit and heart that night because there were times Christie was in danger of taking over,also a lot of good infighting and the ref had an easy night

Collins/Kaylor was evenly matched until about the 5th when Kaylors legs were starting to look a bit shaky and Collins's punches were starting to hurt him and it was a hurtful right hand that finished him,

It was always gonna be the right hand over the top that Watson KO'd Christie with,Errol down about 10 seconds into the opener and did well to even last the round let alone the into the 3rd,Watson hurt him with the same shot in the 2nd too despite Christie looking like he was beginning to regroup

2. 10 - 9 Christie, relentless stuff and hard to score
3. 10 - 8 Christie, another cracker, so close to a knock down for kaylor though
4. 9 - 10 Kaylor, another war of a round, not much to talk about in terms of style.
5. 9 - 10 Kaylor good punching upstairs and down, intent behind every punch.
6. 9 - 10 Kaylor starting to dominate
7. 10 - 9 Christie. Christie got right back into this, Kaylor rallied then Christie finishes strong, both men doing well not to go over

I'm struggling to remember. Was it Watts or Drayton that was a good fight also?

Or is Kaylor just remembered for those two astonishing nights of boxing vs Roy and Errol?

I remember this- I was only a kid but I thought Christie would walk right through Kaylor - there was a street scuffle between them before the fight as well
