If goes on that show the it will be a disaster. Does anyone seriously think Fury would be able to keep from saying something controversial and thus gaining even more negative press

Not the best idea for him right now.
On form and in a good mood, he'd become massively popular on such a show imo.

Yeah esicially in a few years once he's done all he wants in boxing, and has matured a bit.lillywhite14 wrote:Not the best idea for him right now.

Easy money for him.
He can cash in on his name whilst he is still famous & he'll still have time to come back to boxing & make more money in the future.

I'm not convinced of that, he'd be bound to spout off about homosexuals, jews, etc, and there's plenty of people who would find his views repugnant and medieval. He's entitled to them, however, he's a bit out of step.lillywhite14 wrote:Not the best idea for him right now.

I think this is a red herring anyway, I don't believe it will happen.

The travellers I knew as a kid definitely DID eat hedgehogs: I've seen it although I was never offered any to try. I only ever saw them do it once but it isn't a myth. They also did prefer to be outside and loved a fire.
I doubt Fury ever lived like that though and was taking the piss. The gypsies I knew were rough as fornicate. The Fury's are well mannered and educated in comparison.

Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
He knows someone that farms hedgehogs, and marinates them with honey. Saunders has said he's had it but isn't a fan. I think it's true but not nearly as rough as it sounds.
Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
French eat frogs and snails , whats wrong with them eating hedghogs , , instant tooth picks as well. I don't think its a good idea , it should be a cash out thing , but to be honest i think the british public would take to him , they would like his distinct British humor , most are underestimating the british public and humor .BitPlayer wrote:He knows someone that farms hedgehogs, and marinates them with honey. I think people tend to believe, that everyone and the world are like themselves , but the reality is , most think like Tyson , not all the british are bun wearing , handbag carrying , chest shaving , , fake suntan wearing sensative little souls , who love the idea of there wifes wearing the pants (if they have onre ), like we have on here . , Tyson will be popular cos he's a mans man . I mean Paddy Doherty won it for fook sake

A hungry fury would be tv gold but unlikely to win over fans.
Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
Aren't hedgehogs a protected species? (Not that it would probably stop travellers lol) ....BitPlayer wrote:He knows someone that farms hedgehogs, and marinates them with honey. Saunders has said he's had it but isn't a fan. I think it's true but not nearly as rough as it sounds.
I can't actually remember the last time I saw a hedgehog come to think of it.

I hope the other competitiors don't hurt his feelings too badly.

Yeah I think that was the contraversial part.lefty wrote:Aren't hedgehogs a protected species? Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
See proves it does'nt it ,, They only make them protected , because they know travellers eat them , If the nobs in London at posh restraunts ate them , nothing would be done , just another racist move , against the travelling men of Britain , Hedghogs are like popeyes spinach to travellers everyone knows thatBitPlayer wrote:Yeah I think that was the contraversial part.lefty wrote:Aren't hedgehogs a protected species? Getting away from his current situation would be a good idea. Away from booze, drugs and naughty food is good. He has already offended woman, gays and a fair amount of everyone else, so he really has nowt to lose. It would be a crying shame for him to be in there, while Joshua and Haye fight (possibly each other) and he is stripped of his world titles.jamesmcdonnell wrote:If he doesn't have a complete meltdown.Syntax Error wrote:Easy money for him.

He needs help with his bi-polar condition (I was a manic depressive for most of my life, but mine is firmly under control through will power, not meds) and without it, he's probably going to spend the rest of his life 'bouncing around' like I used to. The good thing is that Tyson knows it's a problem. The Rolling Stone interview was in part a cry for help. I hear he's talking to someone about it and that's a step in the right direction. I wish him the best.

If he promises to lay out Ant & Dec, I think it would be a great idea.

No offence Keith, but were you diagnosed as Bipolar, 'Manic Depressive' gets bandied about a lot, however, I've yet to meet someone who was Diagnosed with bipolar, who could manage that condition without the aid of medication. Willpower, suggests to me something other than Bipolar disorder. Just clarifying.keithmoonhangover wrote:Getting away from his current situation would be a good idea. Is there anything official about I'm a celeb? Given that Tyson is always moaning about the press, why on earth would he want to put himself in a situation where the press are reporting his every single utterance?
It's a disaster waiting to happen if they do; he needs to have interventional therapy, not be put in a goldfish bowl with people he doesn't know, with round the clock coverage, it's a frigging stupid idea, if his family endorse this, they must be absolutely crackers!

Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
I was diagnosed when I was in my teens after years of family members thinking I was. The meds didn't work for me, so, after being suicidal and almost not coming through it, I tried something different - will power. If I didn't allow myself to 'get high' then it wouldn't be followed by the lows. That was in 1999 and I've only had one really bad depression since. I really miss the highs, but climbing on a pub roof and saying I could glide (not the same as flying) was the kind of shit that made people I love worry about me. Now I'm a lot calmer, day-to-day and it works for me. I don't know if it would work for anyone else. I don't know it has anything to do with this.... For a decade or so, my dad was a fully blown alcoholic and was drinking 2-3 bottles of vodka per day. He was a functioning alcoholic and he was never abusive. Here's the thing. A few years after he kicked the habit, he got to the stage where he could have the a bottle of wine and not relapse. He used will power also. That's my story anyway. Hope that clarifies.jamesmcdonnell wrote:No offence Keith, but were you diagnosed as Bipolar, 'Manic Depressive' gets bandied about a lot, however, I've yet to meet someone who was Diagnosed with bipolar, who could manage that condition without the aid of medication. Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
My mates wife is bi polar ,, I have always found her quite normal ,, until she started coming out socialy ,, Thats when i started to notice , after a few drinks she would look strange , her eyes went all glassy and stary , she would slur her words , in fact she still does , basicly after booze she would then always, and still does roll a joint , Then its fornicate me here we go ,, jabs her finger in faces , wants to drink every thing going , and really does'nt look normal , looks a bit mental in fact .. He said he was going to leave her if she did'nt get help and sort herself out , AA and all that ,, so she went to the doc who diagnosed her has BI polar ,, so now its all ok , He just says its not her fault because the medication affects her ,, funny that she's ok when she's not on the grog .
