1891-06-18 (90lbs) Harry Munro w rtd 9 (finish) Bill Stanley, London, England. Referee: Charlie Bates. Contested on a private show in the east-end of London, and billed for the world and English 90lb titles, using two-ounce gloves, although both men made a fast start it was relatively even up to the fifth round. In that session, however, Stanley had to hang on to survive after being caught by a right to the jaw, and from there on he was always running second best to Munro before holding his arm out as a token of surrender in the ninth.
