1903-05-18 (134lbs) Harry Mansfield drew 15 Jack Goldswain, Park Street Hamilton Rooms, Bristol, England. Referee: J. T. Hulls. This one was given English title status at 134lbs despite being contested over two-minute rounds, and was fought at a fair pace that was only interrupted by excessive holding. Whilst Goldswain had taken a marginal lead, by the halfway stage Mansfield came back strongly as his rival tired to take a share of the honours. There were no knockdowns. Although both men claimed the English title at the weight they would be fighting at higher poundages in future.
