1908-02-10 Tommy Burns w co 4 (20) Jack Palmer, Wonderland, Mile End, London, England - WORLD. Referee: Robert Watson. On the attack right from the start as Palmer froze, Burns had the Englishman down twice in the first round and battered away at him during the next two sessions. Finally, in the fourth, after Burns put Palmer down several more times, the latter was counted out on his knees.

A couple of weeks later, Burns reportedly offered to fight any three men in the same night and named James Tiger Smith, Gunner Moir and Bill Squires.
