1915-09-16 (142/145lbs) Harry Stone nd-drew 10 Bert Stanley, Armory B, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA. Billed for the 145lbs title, with Stone (135) reported as the champion, both boys went the distance without a let up, punching away continuously. Stanley (145) was the harder hitter, but Stone more than made up for that with his cleverness and left jab that found its mark more often than not.

In a return match at the lightweight limit, Stone was again too good for Teddy Hayes (nd-w pts 10 at Hagemeister Park Pavilion, Green Bay, Wisconsin on 7 October) according to the majority of the press in attendance.
