1978-12-05 Mike Rossman w rsc 6 (15) Aldo Traversaro, The Spectrum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - WBA. Referee: Jesus Celis. Traversaro (173½), the European champion, certainly came to fight and by the third he had warmed to the task despite being cut over the left eye in the first round. Having been shaken up by two right uppercuts in the fourth, the champion picked up the pace in the fifth and stung Traversaro with a right to the head in the closing seconds. Unfortunately, in the sixth Traversaro was seriously cut on the right side of his head and with blood pouring down his face and Rossman (171) hacking away at him the referee was forced to call the contest off at 1.15 of the round.
