1990-04-14 Gianfranco Rosi w rsc 7 Kevin Daigle, Loew’s Hotel, Monte Carlo, Monaco - IBF. Referee: Rudy Battle. Far too good for his limited challenger, Rosi (153¾) did as he pleased for much of the contest, often landing ten punches at a time without response. Cut over the right eye in the first round and staggered in the third by a right, although Daigle (153½) tried hard enough he could not get to grips with Rosi, resorting to wrestling and holding on. With Rosi’s lack of power saving Daigle from being knocked out, even when the latter was down in the sixth it was from more of a push than a punch. The referee finally called it off at 2.29 of the seventh when Daigle was being battered up against the ropes without returning fire.
