1992-07-25 Tyrone Booze w co 7 Derek Angol, G-Mex Centre, Manchester, England - WBO. Referee: Roy Francis. In a battle for the vacant title Angol (190) got way to a flier, firing in blows from both hands and looking to take Booze (189½) out early. Unfortunately for him, though, the American had not read the script and was content to let his rival punch himself out. By the fourth round it could be seen that Angol, now under a sustained body attack from Booze, was landing with ‘arm’ punches and tiring rapidly. Almost put down in the fifth, Angol was now under pressure with long rights to the head and hooks from both hands to the ribs finding their way through his defences, and in the sixth he barely made it back to his corner. For a man who had not boxed for close on 18 months Booze was doing a good job. Eventually, after taking a sustained battering in the seventh Angol was put down and counted out with 28 seconds of the session remaining.
