1997-06-28 Herbie Hide w rsc 2 Tony Tucker, Sports Village, Norwich, England - WBO. Referee: Raul Caiz. In a contest for the vacant title it was Hide (214¾), overcoming a nervous start, who made all the running, and having knocked Tucker (243¼) down three times in the second round he enforced the stoppage win on the three knockdowns in a round ruling with 15 seconds of the session remaining. Although being badly beaten by Riddick Bowe, Hide showed in this fight that he had recovered from that. It was also clear that, with added speed and power, Hide was now a force to be reckoned with.
