1882-05-16 (140lbs) Charlie Norton w co 2 (finish) Jim Frawley, Novelty Theatre, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Referee: George Rooke. Contested under London Rules in small hand gloves, Norton (136) went straight to work, banging in punches from all angles before before flooring Frawley (139) with a tremendous right to the body. With just five minutes on the clock, Frawley failed to respond to the referee and was counted out. Not much more is known about Norton from thereon, but he appears to stick mainly to exhibitions and shortened contests before finally retiring in 1896.
