1888-10-10 (133lbs) Jack McAuliffe w co 11 (finish) Bill Dacey, Dover, New Jersey, USA. Held in a barn and billed for the world 133lbs title in skin-¬tight gloves under MoQ Rules, McAuliffe (131½) did most of the leading throughout, with terrific lefts and right uppercuts driving Dacey (130) back on his heels. Dacey, who was outclassed, was counted out at 2.42 of the 11th after being dropped by a left to the body and a right to the head.
