28 May (110lbs) Tommy Spider Kelly w rtd 16 (finish) Harry Walton, Cribb AC, Troy, New York, USA. Referee: Jim Dougray. Billed for the American 110lbs title using two-ounce gloves, both men were inside the stipulated weight. After 16 rounds of what had been a fairly even affair, Walton pulled the gloves off saying that he was out of condition and had only agreed to go 15 rounds in the first place.
