20 March (110lbs) Bill Moore w rtd 24 (finish) Mike Small, London, England. Held in private somewhere in London’s west end, although there was no billing attached Moore (109) later stated that he won the English 110lbs title in this one. The only mention of the fight that can be found came in the sporting papers a few days later and stated that after one of the most stubborn battles ever witnessed, Small (107), who was backed into Moore’s corner taking heavy punishment, held out his hand as a token of retirement during the 24th round.
