10 April (110lbs) Bill Moore w disq 12 (finish) Alf Gunning, Hop & Malt Exchange, The Borough, London, England. Referee: E. A. Colin. Evenly contested up until the seventh round when Gunning was dropped by a right to the body, both men were cautioned in the ninth for wrestling and both appealed for fouls in the 11th and 12th. In the 13th Moore was deliberately thrown, an action followed by Gunning being disqualified. Although this was a fight that carried no title billing, it was said at a later date to have involved the English 110lbs championship.
