1891-02-13 (110lbs) Billy Plimmer w pts 10 Charlie Mansford, Social Club, Kennington, London, England. Made at 110lbs, and the final of an English 110lbs championship competition, it was a very clever contest in which both men showed a lot of class. Although Plimmer picked his punches well, scoring with straight left counters as Mansford came in with the right, there was never a lot between them.

After all three judges voted in favour of Plimmer, the latter got ahead of Bill Collins and Nunc Wallace, who were challenging all England at that time.
