1891-04-24 (142lbs) Charley Kemmic w co 3 (finish) Jim Scully, Twin City AC, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Referee: Henry Sealey. Billed for the American 142lbs title, after a general feeling-out period in the opening round Kemmic (141½) got to work with the right hand in the second, and in the third, after a few moments of sparring, he sent Scully (142) down to be counted out.
Kemmic never really made his claim stick and died of consumption on 23 August 1895, aged 25.
