14 October (110lbs) Bill Moore drew 12 Mike Small, Public Baths, Newmarket, England. Although there were no weights given, no title billing, and a catchweight contest, it was thought that Moore’s 110lbs English title claim was at risk in this one, especially as Small had boxed at 102lbs a month earlier. There were very little details reported in any of the sporting papers, other than the above and the fact that Moore was taller and slightly heavier than Small and was very active at close quarters.
