1892-02-15 (124lbs) Tom Wilson w pts 20 Bill Corbett, NSC, Covent Garden, London, England. Referee: Bernard J. Angle. In a match made at 124lbs, both fighters soon got down to business. There was plenty of hard hitting on both sides, a slip by Corbett (124) in the fourth round being the only time either man visited the canvas. Never much between them, it was not until the last five sessions that Wilson (124), the strongest of the pair, came through to take the verdict. Although not billed for the English 124lbs title, Wilson challenged all England at the weight on the result.

Later, on 4 June, Charlie Tilley outpointed Reuben Baxter over four rounds at the Central Hall, Holborn, London to win a 124lbs championship competition.
