1892-09-05 (138lbs) Jack McAuliffe w co 15 (finish) Billy Myer, Olympic Club, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Referee: John Duffy. Made at 138lbs, and contested in four-ounce gloves, it proceeded at a terrific pace with both men tasting the canvas. Myer (137½) was floored in the second and third rounds before McAuliffe (137¾), who was dumped in the fourth, took over when beginning to land punches at the rate of four to one from the eighth. Put down twice in the 15th, the second occasion saw Myer counted out while lying over the bottom rope.
