Although there was no title billing as such, Sparrow (110) based his claim to the English 110lbs title on his win over Bradfield (108). With a close fight anticipated, Sparrow upset the applecart when dropping Bradfield twice in the opening round, three times in the second, and just once in the third, a right to the jaw seeing the latter counted out about a minute into the session.
