1893-02-20 (124lbs) [[Jack Fitzpatrick]] w co 14 (20) [[Tom Wilson]], Ormonde AC, Manchester, England. Referee: Robert Watson. Not billed for the English 124lbs title, but with purse money and conditions stating otherwise, this was a return meeting between the pair and yet again there was great excitement. Although Wilson set off at a fierce pace before too long Fitzpatrick was matching him and by the tenth the Leicester man was looking considerably the worse for wear. From round 12 onwards it was all Fitzpatrick and in the 14th he attacked Wilson non-stop with body punches until the latter gave way. Already on his way to the canvas following a severe body assault, Wilson was caught by a crunching right uppercut to the jaw just to make sure that he would not get up again.
