1893-02-20 (124lbs) Jack Fitzpatrick w co 14 (20) Tom Wilson, Ormonde AC, Manchester, England. Referee: Robert Watson. Not billed for the English 124lbs title, but with purse money and conditions stating otherwise, this was a return meeting between the pair that yet again created great excitement. Although Wilson set off at a fierce pace before too long Fitzpatrick was matching him, the Leicester man was looking considerably the worse for wear by the tenth. From round 12 onwards it was all Fitzpatrick, and in the 14th he attacked Wilson non-stop with body punches until the latter gave way. Already on his way to the canvas following a severe body assault, Wilson was caught by a crunching right uppercut to the jaw just to make sure that he would not get up again.
