1893-03-20 (124lbs) George Siddons drew 12 George Dixon, Coney Island AC, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Referee: John Eckhardt. Made at 124lbs, Siddons took on Dixon, who was a replacement for Jack Skelly, and although he displayed great skill in avoiding punches he rarely ventured away from his defensive strategy. Following a draw, given under the terms of the agreement, while Siddons held on to his claim at the weight shortly afterwards he was fighting at an increased poundage, leaving Dixon in command of most of the individual weights within the featherweight class.
