1894-02-12 (110lbs) Charley Kelly w rsc 1 (10) James Kaveny, Charlesbank AC, Haverhill Street, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Referee: William Daly. Billed for the American 110lbs title, it was stated afterwards that Kaveny, who normally fought at 114lbs, was too weak at the weight. That aside, Kelly was far too good for him this time round and after quickly finding his range he dropped Kaveny twice with heavy rights to the jaw before the referee stepped in.
