1894-02-15 (134lbs) Walter Butler w rsc 1 (20) Jack Harland, London, England. Contested on a private show somewhere in London, Butler (133) immediately got down to business and dropped Harland (133) three times in the opening round before the latter was rescued by the referee after hitting his head in the floor with a resounding thud. Despite there being no title billing attached to this match, made at 134lbs, on his victory Butler claimed the English title at the weight.
