1894-02-28 (133lbs) Stanton Abbott w co 5 (8) Harry Gilmore, 2nd Regiment Armory, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Referee: George Siler. Made at 133lbs, Abbott (131½) extended his claim at the weight on beating Gilmore (127), who was down twice in round two before being badly punished through to the fifth when he was counted out after taking a heavy left to the jaw. The Chicago Tribune reported Gilmore to weigh 129lbs to Abbott’s 133.
