1894-04-19 (140lbs) Joe Walcott w co 16 (10) Tom Tracey, Cribb Club, Music Hall, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Referee: Jimmy Colville. Although there was no advertisement as such, it was later rumoured that the contest carried 140lbs world title billing, which Tracey (half-brother to heavyweight Dan Creedon) as the Australian champion at the weight had a part claim. Articled for ten rounds when both men decided to carry on it went to a finish and Tracey was smashed to the floor twice in the 16th round before being knocked out.
