1894-10-05 (126lbs) Tom Causer w co 11 (20) Harry Greenfield, Waites School of Arms, Soho, London, England. Not a billed title fight, but later reports claimed that it involved the English 126lbs championship. The first three rounds were pretty evenly contested, each doing effective work, but from there on Causer secured an advantage as his left normally found the target whilst he evaded most of what was coming in his direction. Having weakened Greenfield in the tenth Causer came out for the 11th with the sole intention of bringing the contest to a conclusion, and after landing several heavy blows with both hands a terrific punch under the heart brought Greenfield down for the full count.

A couple of weeks later, Charlie Tilley won a 126lbs championship competition when outscoring Ted Gamble over four rounds at the Central Hall, Holborn, London on 20 October.
