1894-10-15 (140lbs) Joe Walcott w co 4 (20) Austin Gibbons, Atlantic AC, Old Sea Beach Palace, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Referee: John Eckhardt. With both men inside 140lbs Walcott’s claim at the weight was at stake in this one and he quickly set about Gibbons, putting him down three times before knocking him out after catching him with a right-hand swing to the jaw.
