1895-04-19 (136lbs) Billy Hill w disq 12 (20) Young Starlight, Farragut AC, Banta Hall, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Referee: Doc O’Connell. Supposedly made at 136lbs, the Boston Post reported that Hill had a good 20lbs on the Australian, who was further handicapped by having a fair amount of ale on board. Despite that, Starlight was still in the contest prior to the tenth, having given a good account of himself before being twice smashed to the floor. Although Starlight came out for the 11th, at the end of the session he was taking a fair amount of punishment and in the 12th he was disqualified when refusing to break after being racked with solid blows. Regardless of the weight, Hill claimed the world coloured 136lbs title on winning.
