31 July (105lbs) Joe Elms w rtd 2 (10) Jack Levy, Union AC, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Made at 105lbs, Elms smothered Levy in the opening round, landing hard and often without return. According to the Boston Globe it was much of the same in the second before Levy, finding he was not in it, decided to retire. There is very little detail in the fight report, certainly nothing about knockdowns, so one is left in the dark in terms of detail. Following the contest, Elms claimed the title regardless of a lack of billing.
