1895-10-21 (105lbs) Jimmy Barry w rsc 4 (20) Jack Madden, Empire AC, Maspeth, Queens, NYC, New York, USA. Referee: Tim Hurst. Billed for the world 105lbs title, Barry emphasised his superiority over his fellow American in this one prior to moving up a weight class. Madden was put down four times in all, before a heavy blow on the jaw sent him head first to the canvas with a resounding thud. At that point, the referee stopped the contest immediately.
