1896-01-09 (132lbs) Eddie Connolly w rsc 3 (10) Jimmy Dime, Athletic Club, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Billed for the American and world 132lbs titles, Connolly was the aggressor throughout, and even though he was dropped to his knees in the third and took a couple of heavy blows to the body he was always looking strong. At the end of the third, after the doctor recognised that Dime had broken his right forearm, the referee stopped the fight.
