1896-03-30 (136lbs) Jack Everhardt w co 15 (25) Horace Leeds, Empire AC, Queens, NYC, New York, USA. Referee: Tim Hurst. Made at 136lbs, Everhardt (136) extended his claim at the weight when he knocked Leeds (133) out with a straight left to the jaw after the men had fought like trojans for 14 rounds. The end came after a minute of the 15th had elapsed and Leeds, a former top-class amateur, remained unconscious for 50 minutes.
