30 January (115lbs) [[Jimmy Barry]] drew 20 [[Sammy Kelly]], [[Broadway AC, Brooklyn, NYC, New York]], USA. Made at catchweights, Barry (108) and Kelly (115) boxed a scientific draw, with the latter showing much cleverness. Kelly had the longer reach and occasionally made it pay off, especially when dropping Barry for ‘nine’ in the fifth round with a tremendous left swing. Kelly was staggered in the 20th, but came firing back to earn the draw. Following the fight Barry claimed the 115lbs title.
