1897-05-03 (126lbs) [[Harry Greenfield]] w rsc 8 (20) [[Larry Burns]], Olympic Club, Birmingham, England. Billed for the 126lbs world title, Burns was better known as the world champion ball puncher but as soon as the opening bell went he found that Greenfield was a far different proposition. Easily avoiding the swinging blows meted out by the American, Greenfield used his left up and down, coupled with rights to the jaw, to enforce a stoppage midway through the eighth.
