16 March (106lbs) Jim Lee drew 20 Ernie Brady, Ancient Concert Rooms, Dublin, Ireland. Referee: Dr Dick. Billed for the English 106lbs title, although the contest failed to produce a winner it was reported to be a very good exhibition of cool, clever fighting that went the full distance without either man being off his feet. It had already been agreed beforehand that if both men were still on their feet at the final bell a draw should be given and that was what was announced.

While Jack Walker immediately put out challenges to both participants, two more men interested in the 106lbs title were Matt Precious and Harry McDermott.
